The UK Trading Standards Institute (“TSI”) reports the following Smiggle Products are subject to this recall:

  • Smiggle Build A Light, line number 411557), sold for £15
  • Smiggle Colour O’Clock Cube Clock, line number 443346, sold for £15

Please consult the photograph above for details of the design and retail presentation. One additional Smiggle product that has also been recalled is pictured on the Web site above.

According to the TSI, the screw to secure the battery compartment is missing on the recalled products. Consequently, children may remove the lid, access the battery compartment and place the batteries in their mouths, causing choking and ingestion hazards.

Please note: products purchased between 7 February 2015 and 18 February 2015 are affected by this recall. Products available for sale after this date have been fully repaired. This said, when in doubt, contact the company for full information and risk analysis on these recalls.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession either of the recalled products, please do not use them. Instead, remove the gadgets from your child’s area and access and kindly return them to the store where you purchased them for a full refund.
