Additional information:
The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Cooked Pork are subject to this recall:

  • Various weight packages containing two (2) or four (4) pieces of El Toro Cooked Pork and Water Product
  • Various weight packages containing two (2) pieces of Vida Latina Cooked Pork and Water Product

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional brands and/or designs and/or variations of the recalled products or foods are pictured on the Web site above.

According to the USDA, the food products subject to recall bear the establishment number “EST. 17882” inside the USDA mark of inspection. Use-by dates for the recalled products range from February 27, 2015 to March 29, 2015. The products were shipped to a distributor in Florida and contain lot numbers 356, 363, 002, 008, 015, 022 or 027.

The problem was discovered when the establishment was notified by its spice supplier that the Cumin in a spice mix used to formulate the pork products may have been contaminated with peanut allergens.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession these recalled Cooked Pork and could be allergic to their peanut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
