Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports the following Meat Grinders are subject to this recall:

  • Kitchener #32 Manual Meat Grinders; approximately 2,890 units; SKU: 8078719
  • Kitchener #10 Manual Meat Grinder; approximately 7,142 units; SKU: 8379919

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional brands and/or designs and/or variations of the recalled products or foods are pictured on the Web site above.

According to Health Canada, the recalled Meat Grinders may introduce metal shavings into the meat they grind, posing an ingestion hazard to the consumer.

Health Canada has received one (1) report of metal shavings coming off the Meat Grinder. No consumer injuries have been reported.

If plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Kitchener Meat Grinders, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
