The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Sliced Black Olives are subject to this recall:

  • Homebrand brand Sliced Black Olives, sold in 430 gram glass jars with a best-before date code of BB 04-07-2016

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, the product is being recalled due to possible glass contamination.

If glass fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Homebrand brand Sliced Black Olives, please do not consume them. Instead, kindly return the product to the Woolworths or other store where you purchased it for a full refund.
