US/Silver Spring: Market Pantry Honey & Oat Cereal Recall [US]Gilster-Mary Lee Corp. recalls some Market Pantry Honey & Oat Mixers Ready to Eat Cereal due to mis-packaging and undeclared almonds, a known allergen, as well as a possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal, situation requiring immediate medical intervention. The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Cereal is subject to this recall:

  • Market Pantry Honey & Oat Mixers Ready to Eat Cereal, packaged in 18-ounce cartons with a best-by date code of SEP 30 15 P4 and a UPC of 85239-90824

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FDA, the Cereal is sold exclusively at Target Stores and was distributed US nationwide. Gilster-Mary Lee became aware of the mis-packaging after receiving a customer complaint. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this Cereal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession this recalled Cereal and could be allergic to its almond ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume it. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
