The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Foods are subject to this recall:

  • Serengeti Trading Chilli Bites; product codes: all codes where mustard is not declared None; meat is sold clerk-served with a label on the product. It is typically sold as a package of 200 grams, but any weight can be requested by the customer, weighed and labelled by the store clerk.
  • Serengeti Trading Traditional Droewors; product codes: all codes where sulphites are not declared; meat is sold clerk-served with a label on the product. It is typically sold as a package of 200 grams, but any weight can be requested by the customer, weighed and labelled by the store clerk.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession these recalled Meat Products and could be allergic to their ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them.
