The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Sprouts are subject to this recall (in alphabetical order):

  • Kkot Saem [Mungbean Sprouts]; 5 pound package; package type/description: clear plastic bag with no label; UPC: none listed
  • Kkot Saem Winter Blossom Bean Sprouts [Mungbean Sprouts]; 0.8 pound package; package type/description: clear plastic bag with blue letters on white background.  English and Korean letters on front of bag; UPC: 1 80036 83737 2
  • Unbranded Soybean Sprouts; 5 pound package; package type/description: clear plastic bag with no label; UPC: none listed
  • Winter Blossom Bean Sprouts [Mungbean Sprouts]; 10 pound package; package type/description: orange and blue labeling in Korean and English on white background; UPC: 0 94922 55331 7
  • Winter Blossom Bean Sprouts [Soybean Sprouts]; 1.5 pound package; package type/description: plastic bag, multi-colored with orange stripe on top, lower middle portion and at bottom. Orange and black English and Korean letters on white background on front of bag; UPC: 0 94922 55330 0

According to the FDA, Soybean Sprouts and Mungbean Sprouts were distributed at H-Mart in Washington and Oregon, and G-Mart in Oregon and the last date of distribution was on December 16, 2014. The mungbean sprouts product has a 5-day shelf life from the packing date and soybean sprouts product has a shelf life of up to two weeks from the packing date.
