Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Awnings are subject to this recall:

  • Kona Folding Arm Awning, FA 40 Series through Turnils, Kona KC, Kona KD, Kona KX, Kona KR and Kona KS through second channel of authorised dealers and independents

According to the ACCC, the front connection point on the folding arm may become loose due to a failure of the adhesive solution in the product. Where the connection becomes loose the folding arm may separate allowing one of the arms to sag. If the defect occurs, a person may be injured as they pass under the awning.

If you believe you have purchased the recalled Awning, please do not use it. Instead, contact an authorised dealer of Hunter Douglas for repair and rectification of the product.
