Italian Style Wedding Soup Recall [US]

US/Washington: Fresh Food Manufacturing recalls approximately 1,008 pounds of Italian Style Wedding Soup due to misbranding and undeclared egg and soy, both known allergens. USDA: http://ht.ly/CLIcX

Additional information:
The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Wedding Soup is subject to this recall:

  • Giant Eagle Market District Italian Style Wedding Soup, sold in 24-ounce cups.

According to the USDA, the ingredients panel on the back of the Soup cup is from a Chili product that the company also produces at the same facility. The Chili label does not list egg and soy, which are both ingredients in the Italian Style Wedding Soup.

The recalled Wedding Soup bears the establishment number “EST. 40211” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The Soup was produced on October 9, 2014, and shipped to retail stores in Maryland, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
