The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Spas are subject to this recall:

  • Outdoor or indoor Inflatable Spa Pool fitted with Fan Blower (to produce the water movement and bubbles) and an Electric Heater; product model number: B-090; approval number: SAA121806EA; BIG W keycode: 832 6814

According to the ACCC, the Spa has a ceramic heater with insulation that was damaged during assembly. The water in the Spas could come into contact with the mains electricity, possibly causing a fatal electric shock.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

Consumers should stop using the recalled Spa immediately. Consumers will be contacted directly and be advised that Hunter Products will arrange for collection of the units and BIG W will issue a full refund. The regulator reference number is ESV Ref: IR-981.
