The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Water Heaters are subject to this recall:

  • Everlast series 2000 250T 3.6KW Water Heaters, electric hot water units with 250 liter capacity and fitted with two electric elements rated at 3.6 kilowatts. The recalled Heaters have serial numbers that begin with “22”.

According to the ACCC, a fault in the heating elements can cause water to leak through the element connections resulting in the elements shorting. If this occurs, there is a possibility of a localised fire in the element compartment.

Traders who sold this product include Plumbing Plus, Plumbing Supplies Co-op, Plumbtec, Reece Plumbing and Tradelink.
