Additional information:
The UK Trading Standards Institute (“TSI”) reports the following Cream is subject to this recall:
- Weight Watchers West Country Thick Cream: Reduced Fat; 200 gram tub; use-by dates: 13 August 2014 and 14 August 2014; batch codes: BBE 13/08/14 and 14/08/14. The West Country Thick Cream was sold at Tesco stores.
According to the TSI, the recall was ordered due to the presence of high levels of the bacteria known as Bacillus cereus. This bacteria can cause food poisoning and other health problems. The FSA has also issued a Product Recall Information Notice.
If you have purchased one of the two affected use-by dates, please do not consume it but return it to your Tesco store for a full refund.
Please note: similar foodstuffs sold by other supermarket stores have also been recalled. To see these recalls, please search for “Weight Watchers” in the Search Box at the top of this page.
