US/Silver Spring: McCormick & Company recalls approximately 1032 cases of McCormick Ground Oregano due to possible Salmonella contamination, a serious health hazard. FDA:

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Oregano is subject to this recall:

  • McCormick Ground Oregano, sold in 0.75-ounce bottles with product code dates of best-by AUG 21 16 H and AUG 22 16 H and a UPC of 0-523561-6

According to the FDA, the recalled Ground Oregano was sold from April 4, 2014 to August 5, 2014 and shipped to the following states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI and WV.

The Ground Oregano was also shipped to Aruba, Bahamas, Bermuda, Indonesia, Jamaica, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Thailand and Virgin Islands
