The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Baby/Infant Cots are subject to this recall:

  • Virginia Sleigh Cot – White – CB 323; ID Label: 7/10D Childs Road, Chipping Norton, NSW

According to the ACCC, the Virginia Sleigh Cot does not comply with the mandatory Australian standard, AS/NZS 2172:2003 Cots for household use—safety and performance requirements. There were multiple failures related to non-compliance with the safety and performance requirements for the Cot.

The Cot failed to comply with the various design, safety and performance and marking requirements of the mandatory standard. The product poses numerous risks, including the risks of suffocation and entrapment particularly, to vulnerable infants using this product.

Customers who have purchased a recalled Virginia Sleigh Cot should immediately stop their child from sleeping in it and return the Cot to their nearest Belly 2 Baby store for a full refund of the purchase price. Customers can also contact Belly 2 Baby to arrange for an alternative method of return.
