Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Sandwiches are subject to this recall:

  • Ham and Cheddar Premium Sandwiches, sold in 10.5 ounce plastic-covered tray packages
  • Turkey & Swiss Premium Sandwiches, sold in 10.5 ounce plastic-covered tray packages

In addition, the United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Wraps are subject to this recall:

  • Chicken Caesar Wraps, sold in 7.4 ounce plastic-covered tray packages
  • Club Wraps, sold in 8.1 ounce plastic-covered tray packages

Products regulated by USDA’s Food Safely Inspection Service bear the establishment number “EST 31680” or “P-31680” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

According to the FDA, the problem was discovered when Food Safely Inspection Service division of the USDA collected a sample of a separate product on July 15, 2014 that later confirmed positive for Listeria monocytogenes on July 23. The sampled product was held.

However, the plant produced the additional FSIS and FDA regulated products listed in this recall without conducting a complete clean-up of the production equipment. Those products have entered commerce and are now subject to recall. Neither the USDA nor Great American Marketing has received any reports of illnesses associated with consumption of these products.
