Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream is subject to this recall:

  • Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Chocolate Chip Ice Cream (lid labeled as Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream – see photo above), sold in 14-ounce tubs, a best-by date of “13May2015”, a manufacturing code of “24-52 4133580418D” and a UPC of 74570-08400

According to the FDA, these mismatched packages contain Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream. The ingredient statement on the Ice Cream tub applies to Chocolate Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, not to the actual contents and therefore does not identify peanuts as an ingredient.

Nestlé reports its recalled Ice Cream was produced on May 13, 2014 and has been distributed in the District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. No other production dates, sizes or varieties of Häagen-Dazs ice cream are affected by this recall. Häagen-Dazs product distributed in Canada is also not affected.
