The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Children’s Jeans are subject to this recall:

  • Denim boys jeans sizes 3-8 range & Denim boys jeans sizes 9-16; size 3 to 8: 6003631/wjd017; size 9 to 16: 6003631/WSD017

According to the ACCC, the dye used during the manufacture of the pocket lining of these Jeans may have contained hazardous Azo-Colourants. Expert authorities classify these Azo-Colourants as carcinogens and recommend that exposure be minimised. While this dye is not banned for textiles use in Australia, Myer is recalling these two styles of Jeans as a precaution.
