Additional information:
The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Organic Tofu packages are subject to recall:

  • The Engine Shed Organic Plain Tofu, 300 gram package
  • The Engine Shed Organic Plain Tofu, 1 kilogram package
  • The Engine Shed Organic Smoked Tofu, 250 gram package
  • The Engine Shed Organic Tofu Burgers, 250 gram package

According to the FSA, the recalled vacuum-packed Organic Tofu was produced with inadequate controlling factors to prevent the growth and toxin production of Clostridium botulinum, the cause of food-borne Botulism.
