The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Squeaky Ducks are subject to this recall:

  • Yellow plastic Bathtime Squeaky Ducks with red beak and painted eyes with eyelashes, sold in a package of six; item number: 86920; barcode 011179869206

According to the ACCC, this product is subject to a permanent ban as the product contains more than 1% by weight of DEHP. The chemical DEHP is a commonly used plasticiser that is used to make plastcis such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) soft and flexible. There is a risk of reproductive toxicity for children, up to and including 36 months of age, who may extensively mouth the object.
