The UK Trading Standards Institute (“TSI”) reports the following Cookies is subject to this recall:

  • Asda Free From Chocolate Chunk Cookies, sold with a date code of BB June 14 and a barcode: 05052449010565

According to the TSI, Asda Free From Chocolate Chunk Cookies with a best before code of June 14 may have been incorrectly packed with Asda Free From Ginger biscuits which contain sulphur dioxide. Sulphur dioxide is not declared on the packaging and therefore this product has the potential to cause an adverse reaction to people who are allergic to sulphur dioxide.

Consumers who are allergic to sulphur dioxide (or those who don’t know if they are allergic to sulphur dioxide) should not eat these Cookies. If you have purchased Asda Free From Chocolate Chunk Cookies with a Best Before code of June 2014, please bring them back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund.
