Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Folding Ladders are subject to this recall:

  • Kemp and Denning Mitre 10 Stores Single Step Folding Ladders, measuring approximately 260 mm by 380 mm by 236 mm; product code: AP-1101; SKU: 3025636

According to the ACCC, the product does not comply, as claimed, with the angular requirement as stipulated in Australia’s EN 14183:3003 Step Stool standard. The failure of the angular requirement means there is an increased risk of the step stool tipping over and causing injuries.

Consumers should stop using the ladder and contact their nearest K&D Warehouse Mitre 10 store to receive a full refund of the purchase price.
