Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Vehicles are subject to this recall:

  • Great Wall Motors V200 Vehicles; Campaign number: 1312a; Target: 9134; please see Web site as above for the VIN list of affected vehicles.

According to the ACCC, when the recalled Vehicle is driven, the wiring harness may come in contact with the bottom of the radiator and wear through the outer protective sleeve. The defect may cause an earthing point, preventing the wiring system from functioning correctly and resulting in the alternator dash light coming on and the Vehicle’s battery going flat. In extreme cases the wiring harness may melt internally.
