Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Baby Cots are subject to this recall:
- Avoca Cot (White) & (Heritage) with recommended mattress size 1300 by 690 by 125mm, O/N M302
According to the ACCC, the recalled Baby Cots do not comply with the mandatory Australian standard, AS/NZS 2172:2003 Cots for household use—safety requirements. The Cot is missing the required label on the mattress base, which notifies consumers of the recommended mattress size, the correct use of the adjustable base, and the supplier’s details.
A parent or other caregiver may use the incorrect sized Cot Mattress, which may lead to a suffocation hazard. In addition, if a consumer is unaware of how to use the adjustable base, this may pose a fall hazard to the child.
