Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following EVA Soft Block Toys are subject to this recall:
- EVA Soft Block Toys, sold in sets of 42 soft blocks made from EVA with patented rotating magnets. Various shapes and sizes. Age graded 18 months+; product code: 353730
According to the ACCC, due to loose/faulty plastic casings, the magnets may fall out of the Block Toys, presenting a choking hazard for infants and thereby breaching the Mandatory Standard for Toys for children up to and including 36 months of age, AS/NZS 8124.1:2002 (as amended by the regulation). If the magnets are liberated during use, this poses a potential choking or ingestion hazard to young children, possibly causing serious injury or even death.
