The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Electric Blankets are subject to this recall:

  • Lumina Electric Blankets in Single, Queen and King sizes, with the following product and model numbers:
    • Single: product number: 8311; model number: EB91SB
    • Queen: product number: 7177; model number: EB193QB
    • King: product number: 7259, model number: EB203KB

The recalled Electric Blankets are marked with the electrical approval number “N20135”.

According to the ACCC, the cord between the controller and the recalled Electric Blanket may become fatigued, resulting in a potential short circuit or arcing. If this occurs, it poses fire and/or electric shock hazards.
