The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports following Salami Products are subject to this recall:

  • Salame Emilia Ferrarini Log Boxes of five (5) logs weighing 7.7 pounds each; UPC: 60516 3222 3208
  • Salame Parma Ferrarini Log Boxes of five (5) logs weighing 7.7 pounds each; UPC: 60518 3224 3295
  • Salame Parma Ferrarini Log Boxes of four (4) logs weighing 7.7 pounds each; UPC: 60518 2685 2686
  • Ferrarini Salame Parma Boxes of 20 chubs weighing 250 grams each; UPC: 61082 3320 3320

Each box bears the code “IT G4279 CE” inside the Italian mark of inspection, though individual logs may not. The products were shipped to distributors in Arizona and California for further distribution to retailers.

According to the USDA, FSIS import inspection staff and the import house discovered the problem when the shipment was not presented for re-inspection as scheduled.
