Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports the following products are subject to this recall:

  • Viking 107-centimeter (42-inch) and 123-centimeter (48-inch) built-in side-by-side Refrigerator Freezers with in-door water and ice dispensers. The recalled refrigerator freezers come in a variety of colors, stainless steel or a custom finish.

The recalled Refrigerator Freezers were manufactured between October 2012 and May 2013 and include the following model numbers: CVCSB5421D, CVCSB5481D, FDSB5421D, FDSB5481D, VCSB5421D and VCSB5481D. The first six numbers in the serial number are the manufacture date of the unit in MM/DD/YY format. Both sizes of Refrigerator Freezers have a serial number/date code range from 101712 through 052913. The model and serial numbers are located on the ceiling of the interior of the refrigerators.

According to Health Canada, an electrical component in the recalled Refrigerator Freezers can overheat, posing a fire hazard.

About Listeria Poisoning:
Listeria monocytogenes, the bacteria that cause Listeriosis (Listeria poisoning), most often produce a gastrointestinal illness that can be quite serious or even fatal. Listeriosis in pregnancy, for example, may cause a miscarriage or fetal death. In other cases, people can develop Septicemia (a serious blood infection) or Meningitis (an inflammation of the covering of the brain and spinal cord, known collectively as the meninges).

If you suspect your food is contaminated, do not eat it. Contact the retailer for a refund or replacement. Wash your hands, contaminated preparation surfaces, cutlery and serving dishes thoroughly with hot soapy water and dry. Contact your MD immediately if you experience Listeriosis symptoms.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Children’s Night Clothing are subject to this recall:

  • Girls 100% Cotton White Woven Dot Nightdress with self-fabric ruffle, bow across front and cotton lace trimming on the sleeve and hem of nightdress. The product was sold in sizes 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12; product code: 4B-G2001/SS12

According to the ACCC, the Girls’ Cotton White Woven Dot Nightdresses exceed the maximum permitted length and has the potential to be flammable due to the loose fitting garment style.

The garment, therefore, does not therefore comply with the Australia’s Mandatory Standard for Children’s Sleepwear and Limited Daywear, AS/NZS 1249:2003, as amended by the regulation. If the garment comes into contact with a flame, there is a risk of severe burn injury to the wearer.
