The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the Garmin Quatix Watch is a marine watch that is equipped with GPS-assisted functions that provide the user with a range of marine navigation features.
According to the ACCC, the following Watch is subject to this recall:
- Garmin Quatix Watch, part number: 010-01040-52
The ACCC says that due to manufacturing problem, some Quatix Watches may under certain circumstances cause a skin irritation or burn on the user’s wrist at the location of the charge connectors on the back of the Watch. The wearer may at first feel a tingling sensation on the wrist. If the Watch is worn for an extended period of time, it may cause a small skin burn at the location of the charge connectors on the back of the Watch.
