The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Utility Tractors are subject to this recall:

  • John Deere 3000 & 4000 Series Compact Utility Tractors with the Rollover Protective System (“ROPS”) option attached

According to the ACCC, the recalled Compact Utility Tractors are green in color with yellow trim and come with a black, foldable Rollover Protective System (“ROPS”) unit installed. The spring locking pin used to retain the ROPS pin may not meet specification. If the spring locking pin breaks, the ROPS pin may not be retained and fall out. Without the Rollover Protective System pin properly in place, the ROPS unit itself could fail in the event of a rollover and may lead to a serious injury for the occupant driver.
