Additional information: The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports the lock on the recalled Handgun Vault can fail and allow unintended access to its contents. The CPSC says this recall is intended for combination lock models of Lockdown Compact and Large Handgun Security Vaults. The vaults are black, steel cases used to store handguns or other valuables at home, in the car or when traveling. The Compact Vault’s interior is 5.25 inches wide, 8.25 long and 1.5 inches deep and can store most compact automatics and revolvers. The Large Vault’s interior is 6.125 inches wide, 9.75 inches long and 1.5 inches deep and can store most full-sized automatics and revolvers with barrels up to 4 inches long. Both vaults are lined with foam padding in the top and bottom and are secured by a three-digit combination lock.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves Trumpette’s Aubree’s and Hearts brand Baby Socks sold in sizes 0 to 12 months. The Aubree’s brand Socks have flowers attached to the toes while the Hearts brand Socks have bows attached to the toes of the heart-patterned socks. According to the CPSC, the flowers and the bows on the recalled Baby Socks can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Corned Beef is subject to this recall:

  • Asda ‘Smart Price’ Corned Beef, 340g tin, all Best Before Date codes

The FSA says Asda previously withdrew the recalled Corned Beef on 8 March 2013 after horse DNA was found in the product. Following further sampling and testing, very low levels of Bute were found in some of the samples.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports when subjected to testing, the Assorted Wooden Children’s Pull-Along Toys were found to liberate small parts. The products do not comply with Australia’s mandatory safety standard for toys for children up to and including 36 months of age (Australian Standard AS/NZS ISO 8124.1:2003, as amended by the regulation). If small parts are liberated during use, it poses a choking hazard to young children.
