The Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports the air outlet opening of the recalled Audio Fireplace model MDF UVC is missing a protective grill; it has only a horizontal bar cover. This poses a safety hazard because the heated area is completely exposed, which in turn, presents the risk of a burn or electric shock.

The Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports when the unit is being installed, it is possible for the consumer to screw in the main mounting stud too far. This can result in damage to the protective coating on internal wires and cause a potential fire or shock hazard. Canarm Ltd. has received one report of a consumer being shocked when the stem of the mounting stud pinched the electrical wires.
