The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the recalled Potato Chips may have the potential to contain metal fragments. According to the FDA, the consumption of foodborne foreign objects that are hard and sharp may result in moderate or serious injury. Minor injuries such as choking, or small lacerations in the oral cavity or gastrointestinal system, as well as dental injury, such as a fractured tooth, may occur. In addition, severe choking with airway obstruction, perforation in the oral cavity or gastrointestinal system, or secondary infection due to any of these events is possible.
