About Salmonella Poisoning in Animals:
According to the FDA, animals with Salmonella infections may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever and vomiting. Some animals will have only decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain. About E. coli enteritis:
Food contaminated with Escherichia coli O157:H7 (“E. coli O157:H7”) may not look or smell spoiled but consumption of food contaminated with these bacteria may cause serious, long-lasting and potentially life-threatening illnesses. E. coli 0157:H7 poisoning is typically transmitted using the fecal-mouth route by eating or drinking foods or beverages contaminated with E. coli O157:H7, eating unpasteurized (i.e., raw) milk and (raw) milk products and untreated water. Common symptoms of E. coli 0157:H7 poisoning include severe stomach cramps, diarrhea (often bloody), vomiting, nausea and headache.
