Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the recalled Waterballs consist of a soft rubber ball filled with liquid with a strap that extends and retracts just like a yo-yo. The cord can reportedly stretch to over one metre/meter in length and is capable of winding or being wound around a child’s neck, especially if the toy is swung around the head, posing a choking hazard. The ACCC says the highly elastic and ‘sticky’ nature of the cord can constrict breathing if wound tightly.
