Canada/Ottawa: CFIA expands public warning for numerous Beef Products from XL Foods due to E. coli O157:H7 hazard:

Please note: this is an urgent, continuing, and possibly expanding, recall. We urge all consumers to verify at point of sale all sources of Beef and other meat products to ensure no XL Foods-based meat is purchased until its safety can be demonstrated.

About E. coli enteritis:
E. Coli 0157:H7 poisoning is typically transmitted using the fecal-mouth route by eating or drinking foods or beverages contaminated with E. Coli O157:H7, eating unpasteurized (i.e., raw) milk and (raw) milk products and untreated water. Common symptoms of E.
