Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports Holden Ltd has recalled some Holden Cruze Vehicles with 1.4 Litre Turbo Petrol Engines because spilt oil may collect and pool on the engine’s lower air deflector. If this occurs and the pooled oil encounters an ignition source such as hot engine parts, the exhaust manifold or catalytic converter may ignite, causing fire damage and possible injury to those nearby.
According to the ACCC, the following vehicles are subject to this recall:
- Model Year 2012: Serial numbers from 6G1P#6E8#CL600043 to 6G1P#6E8#CL623659
- Model Year 2013: Serial numbers from 6G1P##E8#DL800001 to 6G1P##E8#DL801674
